Nurturing Talent Through Faith and Music
Mr. Keyz Music School
Inspiring Harmony, Honoring Legacy
Javares “Mr. Keyz” Helmes was a remarkably talented and gifted musician who brought the sounds of worship to churches across Orlando through his mastery of the organ and keyboard. His untimely passing on March 18, 2011, left a void in the hearts of those who knew him. Javares’ legacy of spreading joy and unity lives on through the Mr. Keyz Music School, where we honor his memory by bringing together young and old in a Godly atmosphere of love, harmony, and the transformative power of music..
Commissioner Samuel B. Ings had this say in his proclamation regarding Mr. Keys…
“Whereas, Pastor Dana Jackson founded the National ADHD Foundation in 2003…Her mission is to continue the legacy of her son by bringing the residents of Central Florida together to promote optimism and encourage resiliency within our local musicians to withstand current social and economic hardships…NOW, THEREFORE, I, Samuel B. Ings, Mayor Pro Tem, Commissioner of District 6, City of Orlando, do hereby proclaim Saturday, March 22, 2014, as…”Legacy of Javares “Mr. Keyz” Helmes Day.” – Samuel B. Ings, Mayor Pro Tem, Commissioner, District 6
